Cementir features on “Europe's Climate Leaders 2024" list

Cementir has been included in the “Europe's Climate Leaders 2024” ranking, Europe's most climate change-focussed companies, compiled by the Financial Times in collaboration with Statista, a German research company. 

Cementir is one of the 600 European companies that have made the most progress in reducing their Scope 1 and 2 CO₂ emissions intensity between 2017 and 2022.  Other factors considered include company’s transparency on indirect Scope 3 emissions, CDP rating and participation in the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). The 600 ranked companies from a variety of industries were selected from a sample of about 2000 candidate companies.

Inclusion in the Climate Leaders ranking is in addition to other similar recognition received by Cementir in the first months of 2024, from obtaining Score A- in CDP's Climate Change and Water security questionnaire, to the validation of emission reduction targets from the Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) consistent with the 1.5°C scenario.
