Vietnam’s General Statistics Office (GSO) has announced that the country’s cement production totalled an estimated 75.7Mt in the January-May 2024 period. This represents a 1.9 per cent YoY increase in production, compared to the same period in 2023.
In May alone, the country is expected to have produced an impressive 17.4Mt, marking a YoY increase of 7.3 per cent.
This trend of increased production could suggest a turnaround in the industry, as the country produced just 120.1Mt in 2023, down 4.5 per cent on 2022.
