Indocement starts work on 15MW solar power plant

Indocement officially commenced the operation of the ground-mounted solar power plant at its Tarjun factory in Indonesia on 22 May 2024.

The inauguration was attended by Chairman of the Managing Board of Heidelberg Material, Dr Dominik Von Achten, Member of the Managing Board of Heidelberg Materials, Roberto Callieri, President Director of Indocement, Christian Kartawijaya, Director of Indocement, Hasan Imer,  Hølger Morch, Antonius Marcos and General Manager of Tarjun Factory, Agus Fahri Rasad.

Located at Tarjun cement plant, Kelumpang Hilir subdistrict, Kotabaru, the power plant boasts a capacity of 19.7MWp or 15MW. Its operation marks a further step of Indocement to reduce CO2 emissions from cement production process. In addition to the inauguration, the delegation also participated in planting tree and reviewed a jetty and dock optimisation project at the Tarjun plant.
