The work on the oxygen tank farm/liquid oxygen (LOX plant) on the CI4C site in Mergelstetten, Germany, is almost complete. The electrical engineering is expected to be completed by the end of February 2025, with a clear path to the planned cold commissioning in March.
The oxyfuel plant is scheduled to be commissioned in the 2H25. While the shell construction work of the CO2 Purification Unit is progressing at the same time, the steel construction work for this part of the plant is also in full swing. At the same time, the first work on the outdoor facilities has begun.
The Catch4Climate project is a collaboration between Dyckerhoff GmbH (Buzzi SpA), Heidelberg Materials AG, Schwenk Zement GmbH und Co KG, Vicat SA and thyssenkrupp Polysius. The project is located at Schwenk Zement's plant in Mergelstetten with a special production line with a 450tpd capacity.
