Alpacem GmbH has acquired the Fanna cement plant in the Pordenone district, Friuli-Venezia Giulia along with other concrete mixing plants in the region from Buzzi SpA, effective 1 February 2025. Built in 1974 and modernised in 2023-04 the cement plant has a clinker capacity of 0.66Mta and a cement capacity of 0.9Mta. As part of the transaction, Buzzi SpA subscribes to a capital increase to acquire a 25 per cent capital increase in Alpacem Cement Austria GmbH.
"The integration of the Fanna cement plant and the concrete mixing plants strengthens our presence in Italy and in the entire Alpe-Adria region and enables us to expand our business activities in the market and grow as the Alpacem Group," explains Alpacem Managing Director, Bernhard Auer.
