Raysut Cement Group of Oman, in collaboration with the Oman Environmental Services Holding Co SAOC - be'ah and MVW Lechtenberg & Partner, has collaborated to produce refuse-derived fuel (RDF) and develop a sustainable business model that reduces waste and promotes alternative energy use in heavy industries.
The signing ceremony was held under the patronage of HE Sheikh Dr Mansoor Talib Ali Al hinai, chairman of the Authority for Public Services Regulation.
Dr Hilal Saif Al Dhamri, acting CEO of Raysut Cement Group, emphasised that this collaboration is a key milestone in advancing the circular economy and supporting Oman’s carbon neutrality goals. The initiative aligns with global efforts to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and enhance environmental sustainability in the cement industry.
