Star Cement Ltd has proposed the construction of a INR32bn (US$367.4m) integrated cement plant in Assam, India. 

The company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of understanding with the state government on the concluding day of the Advantage Assam 2.0 business summit, said Chief Minister Himanta Bissau Sarma. 

The plant will be established under its subsidiary company Star Cement North East Ltd.
