The Lebap cement plant in Turkmenistan produced 111,600t of cement in January 2025, representing a 71.6 per cent increase when compared with January 2024.

The increase in production has been attributed to efficient work organisation and the implementation of modern technologies, according to Trend.

In addition, the use of local raw materials has helped to keep production costs and sales prices low, benefitting export markets. In 2023, 107,500t of cement were exported to Uzbekistan.
