As part of its capacity expansion programmes, UltraTech Cement (Aditya Birla group) has identified several opportunities for debottlenecking and enhancing efficiency at various locations. Some of these initiatives have been successfully completed and stabilised, leading to an increased production capacity of 1.2Mta,
The additional capacity has been achieved at the integrated unit in Hirmi, Chhattisgarh, adding 0.8Mta and at the grinding unit in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, with an expansion of 0.4Mta. As a result, the company’s total domestic grey cement capacity stands at 178.86Mta. Along with its overseas capacity of 5.4Mta, the company’s global capacity stands at 184.26Mta.
