The Wadi El Nile Cement Company (WNCC) has signed a new five-year contract with FLSmidth that will see the Danish firm continue to maintain and operate a 2Mta plant located 120km south of Cairo. Sarbottam Cement Pvt Ltd (Saurabh Group) has launched its OPC and PSC cement in the Nepalese market. Denmark: FLSmidth 2H16 revenues fall 19%

FLSmidth's revenue decreased 19 per cent to DKK4135m (US$620.7m) in 2Q16 (2Q15: DKK5093m  or US$764.5m). The revenue improved sequentially from 1Q16 but was nevertheless lower than expected in 2Q16. The gross profit in 2Q16 decreased to DKK1078m from DKK1327m in 2Q15, corresponding to a gross margin of 26.1 per cent (2Q15: 26.1 per cent). Bolivia’s Fancesa to open bids for new production unit

The opening of bids for the equipment of Fancesa’s new production facilities is expected today, according to Herland Daza, general manager of the Bolivian cement company.    FLSmidth and Polysius are participating in the tender, which is valued around US$220m, according to Mr Daza.

Vietnam: order for FLSmidth

Vietnamese cement producer Tan Thang Cement have awarded FLSmidth a contract for the supply of main equipment to a greenfield plant in the country. The Engineering and Procurement contract is valued at approximately DKK255m (US$37.9m). The new 5000tpd plant will be located in the Nghe An province, 300km south of Hanoi. The scope of supply includes all the main equipment, from raw mill grinding to clinker silo, as well as civil design, coal mill installation, training and commissioning.
