CIMAF Gabon to build clinker factory in Meba20 September 2022, Published under Cement NewsCIMAF Gabon is establishing a clinker factory in the Meba area of Gabon, 40km east of the capital. CIMAF’s project was announced at the prime minister's office on 13 September, with the signing of an investment agreement between the leaders of CIMAF and the Gabonese authorities. 1H cement sales fall 10% in Gabon12 October 2021, Published under Cement NewsGabon’s cement market contracted by 10.1 per cent to 197,246t in the 1H21 from 219,386t in the equivalent period of 2020, according to data by the country’s Ministry of Economy. In the first quarter of 2021 sales reached 102,823t but a drop to 94,423t was reported for the 2Q21. Cilas de Biskra exports 50,000t of clinker to Gabon13 October 2020, Published under Cement NewsAlgeria-based cement producer Cilas de Biskra has exported a shipment of 50,000t of clinker from Annaba to Gabon, according to Hafid Ouchiche, export director of LafargeHolcim Algérie. It is the fourth export shipment to Africa by Cilas and since January, the company has exported 0.5Mt of clinker. The 0.35Mta line will lift the plant’s total capacity to 0.85Mta after an investment of XAF9bn (US$16.3m). It includes a new-generation 50tph crusher and two 500m3 storage silos.
