Tajikistan leading cement importer in Uzbekistan29 September 2022, Published under Cement NewsThe State Committee of Uzbekistan on Statistics said the country receives the largest part of its cement imports from Tajikistan, which exported in the 8M22 approximately 625,000t of cement into Uzbekistan. Tajikistan produced 2.9Mt of cement in the January-August 2022 period. Other key importers include Kyrgyzstan and Kazakstan, which exported 458,000t and 409,000t, respectively to Uzbekistan. |
Two new cement plants for Kyrgyzstan09 September 2022, Published under Cement NewsThe Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and a consortium of companiese Terek-Tash LLC and ZENIT Firm LLC have signed an investment agreement to build two cement plants in the country. A clinker production plant will be built in Kemin district while the Issyk-Ata district will see a cement grinding plant. The two projects represent a total investment of US$150m. |

The maximum retail cement prices were US$4.83 in Kara-Balta, US$4.72 in Naryn and US$4.72 in the village of Chaek. Tajikistan's cement exports rise in 5M1926 June 2019, Published under Cement NewsTajikistan has exported nearly 620,000t of cement over the first five months of 2019, with average monthly exports at around 124,000t. The total is over 100,000t more than in Jan-May 2018, according to Asia-Plus.
