Lucky Cement has reported a 5.78 per cent YoY increase in full-year profit of PKR13.69bn (US$129.8m) versus PKR12.94bn in FY16, the company informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange. Gross sales increased to PKR61.6bn during FY17 from PKR 55.92bn in the previous year. Loesche has provided a LM 56.3+3 CS vertical roller mill for cement grinding to Attock Cement in Pakistan. The new mill will be used in the new Line 3 of Attock's cement plant in Hub Chowki in Pakistan. Pakistan's cement exports fall during FY17

During the FY16-17 (July 2016-June 2017), Pakistani cement producers exported 4.53Mt of cement at a total value of US$237.88m, compared with 5.97Mt at US$321.21m in the equivalent period of the previous year. This represent a YoY retrenchment, both in terms of value (-25.94 per cent) and volume (-24.17 per cent). During this period, value of cement in US$ fell to US$52.46/t from US$53.72/t. Pakistan cement producers recorded a mixed performance in total dispatches for FY17 as a double-digit decline in exports was witnessed. During FY17, which drew to a close at the end of last month, the industry recorded growth a four per cent rise in dispatches YoY to 40.267Mt. Pakistan dispatched 40.315Mt of cement of during fiscal year 2016-17, up 3.71 per cent YoY, the latest data from the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA) shows. Pakistan cement output up 6.6% YoY

Cement output in Pakistan during the first 10 months (July-April) of FY17 increased by 2.12 per cent on a MoM basis and 6.63 per cent on a YoY basis.   According to data released by the country's Federal Bureau of Statistics, the domestic cement industry produced 3.33Mt in April 2017 compared to 3.258Mt in April 2016.   On cumulative basis, during July-April 2017 cement production totalled 31.12Mt vs 29.17Mt in the same period a year earlier.
