Attock Cement reported a 24 per cent rise in profit during 2QFY14-15 of PKR554m (US$5.5m) compared to PKR449m in the same period of last year. Al Jouf net profit advances 11.6% in 2014

Saudi-based Al Jouf Cement recorded a net profit of SAR60.4m (US$16.1m) for 2014, up from SAR54.1m in 2013, the company said in a statement to the Saudi Stock Exchange. Siam Cement PCL, Thailand's largest industrial conglomerate, said on Wednesday its 4Q14 net profit rose 11 per cent due mainly to improving margin for its petrochemical business despite an inventory loss. India's largest cement producer, UltraTech Cement, reported a 15 per cent YoY increase in net sales for the quarter ended 31 December 2014 to INR54.9bn. Al Jouf Cement Co posted a SAR20.7m (US$5.51m) net profit for the fourth quarter of 2014, with an increase by 160.49 per cent YoY from SAR7.9m and 141.26 per cent QoQ from SAR8.6m. Yamama Cement Co recorded a 14.61 per cent decline in net earnings in the fourth quarter of 2014 to SAR152m (US$40.5m), compared to SAR178m in the comparative period of the previous year. Saudi Cement Co has posted a 8.91 per cent rise in fourth-quarter net profit to SAR269m (US$71.7m) from SAR247m and 16 per cent QoQ from SAR232m. Saudi producer Yanbu Cement Co posted SAR193m (US$51.4m) net earnings for the fourth quarter of 2014, rising 20.63 per cent from SAR160m in 4Q13 and 18.4 per cent from SAR163m in 3Q14.
