Taiwan’s Chia Hsin Cement Corp has posted an 18.5 per cent YoY rise in revenue to TWD195.48m (US$6.98m) in January 2021. The company reported a revenue of TWD165m in January 2020.

Taiwan’s Asia Cement Corp has reported a 2.5 per cent YoY increase in revenue to TWD8.32bn (US$297.2m) for December 2020, compared with TWD8.12bn in the year-ago period. In the full-year 2020, revenue declined 12.4 per cent YoY to TWD78.24bn from TWD89.34bn.

Taiwan Cement Corp has reported a 6.8 per cent YoY decline in revenue for November to TWD10.89bn (US$385.81m) from TWD11.68bn in the year-ago period. Taiwan’s Lucky Cement has reported a 16.3 per cent YoY increase in revenue for November 2020, rising to TWD402.13m (US$14.24m) from TWD345.87m in November 2019. In the January-November 2020 period, revenue climbed 23.5 per cent YoY to TWD4.14bn from TWD3.35bn.

Taiwan Cement Corp has announced a three per cent YoY rise in revenue to TWD29.8bn (US$1.04bn) for the third quarter of 2020. Its net income also reached TWD7.4bn, up 14 per cent YoY. Taiwan Cement Corp has reported an 8.2 per cent decline in October 2020 revenue to TWD10.29bn (US$360.7m) from TWD11.21bn in the same month of last year. Taiwan’s Hsing Ta Cement has recorded a 23.6 per cent YoY rise in revenue in October, increasing to TWD789.78m (US$27.73m) from TWD638.73m in October 2019. In the January-October period, revenue saw a modest dip of 4.1 per cent YoY to TWD6bn from TWD6.26bn.

Taiwan Cement Corp has seen a 3.7 per cent YoY fall in September revenue to TWD9.75bn (US$340.96m) from TWD10.12bn in the same month last year. In the first nine months of 2020, revenue declined 6.1 per cent to TWD82.25bn from TWD87.56bn. Elsewhere, Lucky Cement saw its September revenue advance 21.9 per cent YoY to TWD380.77m from TWD312.44m in the year-ago period. Taiwan’s Universal Cement Corp saw a 15.3 per cent YoY rise in revenue in September 2020 to TWD450.89m (US$15.73m) from TWD391.2m in the same month last year. In the first nine months of 2020, revenue increased 9.4 per cent to TWD3.89bn from TWD3.55bn.

Asia Cement to purchase additional stake in Chiahui Power

Japan-based Electric Power Development Co, also known as J-Power, is planning to sell its entire stake in  Chiahui Power to Taiwan’s Asia Cement for TWD5.37bn (US$183m).
