BUA to slash cement prices

BUA Cement has announced plans to lower cement prices from NGN5000-5500/bag (US$6.39-7.02/bag) to NGN3000-3500/bag, according to local press reports. Caribbean Cement Co Ltd has reported consolidated unaudited revenue of JMD14,277m (US$92.48m) in the first half of 2023. This compares to JMD13,516m in the same period a year earlier. Cement dispatches in Argentina declined by 1.4. per cent YoY to 1,209,746t in August 2023 from 1,226,632t in August 2022, according to the country’s cement association, AFCP.
