Holcim announced 1H21 net sales of CHF12,566m (US$13,640m) compared to CHF10,693m in the 1H20, a rise of 16.6 per cent LfL. Operating profit (EBIT) reached CHF1794 up from CHF1005 in the 1H20. Yamama Cement achieved a net profit of SAR132.6m in 1H21

Saudi Arabia-based Yamama Cement recorded a net profit after zakat and tax of SAR132.6m (US$35.3m) in the 1H21, a 24 per cent fall from SAR174.8m in the same period a year ago. Vicat reported a 19.6 per cent increase in consolidated sales as they rose from EUR1.304bn in the 1H20 to EUR1.56bn in the 1H21. At constant scope and exchange rates the advance is 26.2 per cent YoY. GCC saw its consolidated net sales increased 18.1 per cent YoY to US$286.7m in the 2Q21 from US$242.8m in the 2Q20. EBITDA advanced 18.6 per cent YoY to US$97m in the 2Q21 from US$81.8m in the 2Q20. GCC reported a net sales increase of 18 per cent in the 2Q21 and a rise in EBITDA of 19 per cent. The company’s net financial expenses totalled US$10m during this accounting period. Ambuja Cement recorded net sales of INR33.420bn (US$448.9m) in the April-June 2021 quarter 2021, up from INR21.450bn in the same period last year. UltraTech Cement Co reported that its consolidated net sales in 1QFY22 reached INR116.9bn (US$1.57bn) compared to INR76bn over the corresponding period of the previous year.   Profit before interest, depreciation and tax was INR35,120m compared to INR23,570m. Carthage Cement posts 61% rise in turnover

Tunisia’s Carthage Cement has posted a 61 per cent YoY rise in turnover to TND163.8m (US$59.09m) for the first half of 2021, against TND102m in the same period of last year. Clinker production increased 99 per cent to 829,000t and cement production was also up 48 per cent to 612,000t in the second quarter of 2021. Local market turnover in the 2Q21 advanced 69 per cent YoY to TND123m. Revenue from cement exports reached TND17m during the 1H21, up from TND0.7m in the year-ago period.
