Udaipur Cement Works sees sales rise 15%

India’s Udaipur Cement Works has seen its net profit surge to INR155.5m (US$2.13m) in the quarter ending 31 December 2020, compared to INR9.7m in the year-ago period. Sales also increased 15.4 per cent YoY to INR1.83bn from INR1.59bn in the 3QFY19-20.

Raysut Cement Co sees 8% revenue increase

Oman’s Raysut Cement Co has announced a 7.5 per cent YoY rise in revenue to OMR90.3m (US$234.9m) in its unaudited results for 2020, compared to OMR84.06m in the previous year. However, it has posted a loss after tax of OMR14.02m against an OMR2.26m profit in 2019.

Kazakhstan’s Steppe Cement has reported a one per cent increase in revenue to KZT30.96bn (US$73.59m) in its preliminary update for 2020. However, cement sales volumes declined 4.1 per cent YoY to 1.645Mt from 1.715Mt in 2019. The average ex-factory price in 2020 reached KZT15,760/t, compared with KZT14,885/t in the previous year. Udayapur Cement Industry looks to increase production

Nepal’s state-owned Udayapur Cement Industry has announced plans to increase production capacity to 800tpd from 350tpd, according to the New Business Age. Taiwan’s Asia Cement Corp has reported a 2.5 per cent YoY increase in revenue to TWD8.32bn (US$297.2m) for December 2020, compared with TWD8.12bn in the year-ago period. In the full-year 2020, revenue declined 12.4 per cent YoY to TWD78.24bn from TWD89.34bn.

Pakistan’s Dandot Cement Co has announced an 81.4 per cent YoY fall in net sales to PKR296m (US$1.84m) for the year ended 30 June 2020, compared to PKR1.59bn in the previous year.  The company also reported a loss after tax of PKR695m against a PKR624.5m profit in the FY18-19.

Rwanda’s Cimerwa has seen its revenue increase one per cent YoY to RWF63bn (US$63.79m) in the financial year ended September 2020. Taiwan’s Lucky Cement has reported a 16.3 per cent YoY increase in revenue for November 2020, rising to TWD402.13m (US$14.24m) from TWD345.87m in November 2019. In the January-November 2020 period, revenue climbed 23.5 per cent YoY to TWD4.14bn from TWD3.35bn.
