Almalyk MMC commissions 1.5Mta plant21 August 2018, Published under Cement NewsUzbekistan's Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine (MMC) has commissioned its 1.5Mta Sherabad cement plant based in Vandob, Surkhandarya. The US$212.8m project was carried out by DAL Teknik Makina on a turnkey basis. The cement produced will be fundamental to meet the demand in the Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions, while Almalyk MMC also plans to export cement in the future. |

Bamburi Cement completes construction of grinding plant29 June 2018, Published under Cement NewsKenya’s Bamburi Cement has announced that construction of its 0.9Mta grinding plant at Athi River, south of Nairobi, has been completed. The facility represents a KES4bn (US$39.62m) investment and is part of the company’s expansion plan launched in 2015.
