NCL Industries reports 13% growth in output in 3QFY18-19

India-based NCL Industries has reported a 13 per cent YoY increase in cement production to 552,000t in the third quarter of FY18-19, up from 490,000t in the year-ago period. Cement deliveries advanced by 18 per cent to 555,000t in the 3QFY18-19 from 471,000t in the 3QFY17-18, according to Accord Fintech. In addition, the company’s cement boards production and dispatches increased by three and four per cent, respectively to 17,631t and 16,713t, respectively during the 3QFY18-19.

Sanghi Industries signs MoU for plant expansion

India’s Sanghi Industries Ltd has announced plans to expand its existing cement plant in Sanghipuram, Kutch, to 8.6Mta from 4Mta. The project is expected to be completed at an investment of INR15bn (US$214.78m) and generate employment for around 350 people. Reports of a major kiln break at McInnis Cement’s Port-Daniel plant have indicated that the plant will see a production stop of 6-7 weeks. Afghanistan's government has taken back control of the Ghori Cement Factory. The Afghan Investment Co that was running the plant was held in violation of the law and decisions of the high economic council and the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum (MOMP) has ordered the company to hand over the plant. Bidders for ARM urged to formalise bids by end of January

ARM Cement's administrators, PriceWaterhouse Coopers have completed a transaction timetable that will see bidders need to make their bids for the stricken Kenyan Cement producer by the end of January 2019.
