Titan Cement to install new precalciner at Kamari plant

Titan Cement is investing EUR25m at its Kamari cement plant, Viotia, Greece. The project will see a new precalciner in operation by 2022.   The modernisation will  reduce CO 2  emissions, contribute to the waste management solutions in Attiki, and increase the plant’s competitiveness. Tarmac introduces a fully-recyclable hybrid bag

Tarmac (CRH Group) has moved to using 50 per cent recycled plastic in its packaging, with the release of new all-weather, fully-recyclable hybrid bag.  Manufacturing facilities in Scotland and Wales are all now in production with the new bag, which offers rip, tear and puncture resistance, as well as providing essential protection against rain and water damage. Lehigh Hanson partners with Fortera to reduce carbon emissions

North America's Lehigh Hanson (HeidelbergCement) and Fortera Inc have announced a collaboration project to reduce emissions from Portland cement production. Cemex to end fossil fuel use at Rugby plant

Cemex is investing US$25m in a new fuel system at Rugby Cement plant in the UK as part of its ‘Future in Action’ programme to achieve carbon neutrality. Argos recycles 7m cement bags

Since the start of its Sacos Verdes (Green Bags) initiative in 2013, Colombia’s Argos, has recycled 7m bags. This year alone, 15,910 bags were recycled. The company’s customers have returned more than 1000t of paper, representing the saving of more than 10,000 trees and 80,200m3 of water – sufficient to supply 472,000 people in one day. Due to the initiative, the company has employed more than 16,723 people in solid waste, bag management and cleaning, reports the company.
