FLSmidth's revenue in 2020 is forecast to be DKK15.5bn-17bn (US$2.48bn-2.72bn), says the company. EBITA margin is expected to be 4.5-6 per cent, which takes into account around DKK210m of implementation costs related to business improvement activities. In the 2Q20 FLSmidth's revenue amounted to DKK3.846bn (US$608.8m) compared to DKK5.472bn in the 2Q19, down 30 per cent YoY with a 22 per cent decline in mining and a 41 per cent decrease in cement. FLSmidth's 2Q20 preliminary report sees 29% decline in order intakes

FLSmidth released its preliminary 2Q20 report ahead of the full interim 2Q20 results due to the volatility in order intake and revenue combined with the suspension of guidance caused by COVID-19. Across all regions, the mining industry and especially the cement industry have been negatively affected by the pandemic. FLSmidth has entered into a frame agreement with the African conglomerate Dangote Industries to provide hot kiln alignment services to 16 Dangote kilns located in Africa.
