Emami has commissioned its 2Mta cement grinding unit at the Panagarh Industrial Park in the Burdwan district of West Bengal, India. Gebr Pfeiffer awarded Cemminerals grinding contract

Grinding specialist Gebr Pfeiffer was awarded the order for a grinding plant for slag and cement by Cemminerals NV. The Belgian cement producer is in the process of establishing a new grinding unit at the Kluizendok in the port of Ghent. The new facility proposed is a single grinding mill with production capacity of around 0.7Mta. The mill is scheduled for commissioning in early 2018. India-based Emami Cement has plans to construct new plants that will add 15-20Mta of capacity to its portfolio over the next 3-5 years, as reported by The Times of India. Société les Cimenteries du Cameroun (Cimencam) announced that the commissioning of its new Nomayos cement plant is scheduled for mid-2018. The new grinding unit will boast an installed capacity of 2Mta and is expected to cost XAF23bn (US$38.5m).
