Finnsementti (CRH group) has awarded Gebr Pfeiffer a contract for the supply of a MVR 1800 C-4 slag grinding mill type. The new slag grinding plant will be built next to a steel works in Finland. Finnsementii has announced that it is investing EUR12m in a new blastfurnace slag mill at its Raahe plant in Finland. Askari Cement orders ESP conversions from CTP Team Srl

CTP Team Srl will install new bag filters at Askari Cement Ltd's Nizampur and Wah cement plants, Pakistan. The new bag filters will be constructed from electrostatic precipitator (ESP) conversions and are to be installed on both kiln and raw mills using CTP's SWAP technology. Marco Ernesto Donghi, sales director of CTP Team, and Mustafa Kausar, managing director of Askari Cement Ltd, signed the contract for the order earlier this week.

Taiwan Cement's shipping subsidiary orders bulk carriers

Taiwan Cement has announced that its shipping subsidiary, Ta-ho Maritime, has placed an order at Japanese yard Sumitomo Heavy Industries for three 84,200dwt kamsarmax bulk carriers. Arab Swiss Engineering Company (ASEC) and the Iraqi conglomerate KAR Group have announced signing a three-year agreement for the operation and maintenance of Qarachough cement plant. CYCNA (Cruz Azul group) commissioned a Loesche cement grinding plant in Tepezalá, Mexico, last year, and this summer two more Loesche coal grinding plants for petcoke grinding will be installed at the Lagunas and Hidalgo cement plants. Geocycle (LafargeHolcim subsidiary) has taken delivery of a new UNTHA XR mobil-e waste shredder in  Dorchester, South Carolina, USA.
