Fives FCB completes kiln and tyre replacement at Val d'Azergues plant

Fives FCB has successfully completed the kiln shell replacement at LafargeHolcim's Val d'Azergues plant, France. LafargeHolcim previouly signed an agreement with Fives FCB in 2018 for the replacement of 9m section of its kiln shell at the Val d’Azergues plant, including the replacement of one tyre, roller and seal.

FLSmidth reports that it sold 31 new vertical roller mills for all grinding applications in 2018. The combined cement grinding capacity of OK™ Mills sold in 2018 grew by over 38 per cent from 2270tph in 2017 to 3145tph in 2018. Raw materials grinding was added to the OK™ Mill's portfolio in 2017. Eurocement orders three VRMs from Gebr Pfeiffer

Russia’s Eurocement has ordered three more VRMs for its Akhangaran project in Uzbekistan from Germany-based Gebr Pfeiffer. The order includes an MVR 5000 R-4 for raw material grinding and two MVR 5000 C-4 models for cement grinding. The MVR 5000 R-4 has a total drive power of 2500kW and can grind 500tph of raw material to a fineness of 12 per cent R 90µm. The cement grinding mills, each with an installed drive power of 4000kW, are designed to grind 200tph of OPC at 3200 Blaine.
