China Resources Cement to sign coal agreement

China Resources Power said it agreed to supply coal to China Resources Cement with a term of three years from 1 January 2013 to 31 December 2015. According to local press, the unit price of coal will be negotiated on an "arm's length" basis between the parties with regards to the prevailing market prices of coal and the quantity of coal will be decided according to the demand of CR Cement Group.

Barloworld gets 44 Freighliner Columbia truck tractor

Barloworld Logistics has taken delivery of 44 Freightliner Columbias as part of its owner-driver programme for Pretoria Portland Cement (PPC), South Africa. A fleet of 44 Freightliner Columbia truck tractors were delivered to 27 owner-drivers and 17 drivers of Barloworld Logistics, at the PPC factory in Dwaalboom recently. Gebr Pfeiffer wins Iraq grinding order

Sinoma (Suzhou) Construction, acting as general contractor for GRD Cement Plant Company Tainall’s new kiln line, has once again placed an order for an MPS 5000 B vertical roller mill for raw material grinding. The grinding plant will be set up in the GRD's 5000tpd cement line located near the town of Sulaimaniah in northern Iraq. The MPS vertical roller mill to be supplied is designed for a capacity of 450tph at a product fineness of 12 per cent R90µm.

New laboratory automation system for Wotan Zement, Germany

For the quality monitoring and control of their cement products, Portlandzementwerk Wotan decided to install a new laboratory automation system from ThyssenKrupp Polysius.   As from spring 2013, the POLAB ACT will replace the existing POLAB system which has been in service at the company's Üxheim plant since 1993.   In addition, a pneumatic tube dispatch station for cement is being installed at the plant.

Ambuja Cement selects Polysius grinding technology

Ambuja Cement Ltd of India has selected ThyssenKrupp Polysius as the supplier of grinding equipment for their Sankrail plant. A POLYCOM high-pressure grinding roll and a SEPOL-PC separator will be combined with an existing ball mill to form a combi grinding system for a cement production rate of 230tph. Ambuja Cement is 50.3 per cent-owned by the Holcim Group.

Russian order for FLSmidth

Qatar National Cement Co (QNCC) has signed a consultancy services’ contract with Belgium’s Basse Sambre for the construction of its fifth cement line.
