The state-run Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation (Vicem) has reaped US$20m from exporting 640,000t of cement and clinker so far this year, up 13.6% YoY in volume.

Of the total, 610,000t  were shipped to Bangladesh, Myanmar, Hong Kong and Singapore, the state-run Vietnam News Agency said. Another 30,000t of cement were exported to Laos and Cambodia, it added.
Vicem targets to export 800,000t of clinker this year.

The corporation made a net profit of VND1.6trn (US$77.9m) on revenue of VND23.9trn in 2010, up 14% and 13% from a year earlier, respectively.
