Cement producers in Vietnam are estimated to have produced 41.3Mt of cement in the first nine months of this year, according to the General Statistics Office. This represents a rise of 16.8% when compared with the equivalent period last year. During September, output reached 5Mt, up 26.8% YoY.

The Ministry of Construction predicts the country will see a surplus of at least 2Mt this year as several new cement plants have entered operations at a time when export plans are facing difficulties.
