Shree Cement, India's third-largest cement manufacturer, has announced the commissioning of a 3.5Mta clinker grinding unit in Baloda Bazar in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, central India, as it continues its brownfield expansion.

It follows the launch of a 3Mta unit in Etah, Uttar Pradesh, earlier this month as Shree Cement seeks to increase its presence in the region. The company currently has an installed capacity of 46.4Mta across India.
