Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation (Vicem) sold 11.578Mt of cement and clinker in the first eight months of this year, rising 5.4% from a year earlier and fulfilling 60.9% of its full-target.
Of the sum, 11.44Mt were cement and 135,000t were clinker, up 5.3% and 9.8% on-year, respectively, the corporation said on its website Monday.
Vicem held 36.6% of the domestic market share during the period.
The corporation made a pretax profit of VND793bn (US$40.67m) in the first eight months of this year, up 67.22% YoY.
It had revenues of VND14.73trn during the time, jumping of 117.02% on-year, fulfilling 61.6% of the full-year target.
