Horizon Pulp & Paper, the Estonian producer of papers for the packaging industry, has received for next year a 30 million kroon (EUR 1.92m) order from Indonesia`s large state- owned cement manufacturer. Horizon was one stop on PT Semen Padang executives’ annual tour of European paper mills to conclude contracts for 2010, the company said.
"The contract makes up 10 percent of Horizon’s six-month production volume and represents the first large deal between an Estonian and an Indonesian enterprise. Horizon hopes this ushers in long-time cooperation including with other clients in Indonesia," board member Sunil Marwah said.
The paper mill’s goal is to become a stable preferred partner of PT Semen Padang and increase supplies in accordance with the Indonesian company’s growth plan.
