Medcem Cement Group successfully received the world's largest cement carrier, MV NACC New Yorker, at Medcem Port, delivered by Bedeschi SpA, Italy.
Bedeschi supplied two different conveyor lines, consisting of four pipe conveyors and two shiploaders (one in operation and one in the assembly phase) to handle cement and clinker. Thanks to Bedeschi's equipment the operation of the terminal was improved and Medceem Cement was able to complete the loading of 25,000t of cement, to be shipped from Medcem Port to the cement producer's facility in Sheerness, UK, by means of a safe, environmentally friendly and fast operation.
