East African Portland Cement Co. posted a first-half loss of KES391.91m compared with a profit of KES338.23m shillings the year earlier.

The Nairobi-based company posed a loss per share of 4.35 shillings in the six months ended Dec. 31 compared with earnings per sahre of 3.76 shillings the year earlier after fuel costs rose, it said in a newspaper advertisement today.
