Spanish cement company Cementos Molins booked an EUR118m (US$179.9m) net profit for 2007, up eight per cent YoY, the company said on March 3, 2008.
Sales rose by 11 pct to EUR816m (US$1.244bn). Domestic sales accounted for 62 per cent of the total.
EBITDA increased by six per cent per cent to EUR239m (US$364.4m).
Shareholders’ equity amounted to EUR535m (US$815.7m) at the end of 2007, up by EUR81m from a year ago.
The company’s net debt totalled EUR140m (US$213.4m) at the end of the period, registering a EUR34m (US$51.8m) rise.
Cementos Molins made investments of EUR150m last year, including the acquisition of a 65 per cent stake in Tunisian peer Sotacib and a new clinker production line at the Sant Vicenc dels Horts plant near Barcelona.
