China generated RMB239.902bn in cement sales income in the first eight months of 2007, up by 24.09% YoY, with the profits at RMB12.307bn, up by 24.09% YoY, according to the latest information  by the National Development and Reform Commission.

In the period, China produced 600.88Mt of cement clinker, up by 8.63% YoY, with exports of cement and cement clinker down by 3.74% to 24.04Mt and valued at US$ 811.87M, increasing by 0.01% YoY. China’s ex-factory cement price stood at RMB239.23/t in August, rising by RMB0.24 over July and RMB7.94 year-on-year.
