Nospetco Oil and Gas said it has opened a chapter of dedicated energy supplies to Obajana Cement Company Plc, Nigeria’s biggest cement company, in its bid to expand its industrial customers base for industrial fuels supplies in the downstream sector.

The company’s entry into the supplies in Obajana was warranted by its performance in similar supplies already executed with Benue Cement Company ( BCC ) Plc in Gboko, Benue State . Large volumes of automotive gas oil (AGO) and low pour fuel oil (LPFO) have already been delivered to Benue Cement in Gboko, Benue State , by Nospetco . The diesel being supplied to Obajana is being used to fuel fleet of trucks conveying cement from the company to different locations in the country.

Manhark Panwar, general manager, transport, Obajana Cement Plc, urged Nospetco Oil and Gas to take the supplies with every dint of seriousness and commitment as they cannot compromise the availability of quality diesel for fueling trucks evacuating finished products from the company.

According to him, the company has cancelled several offers for supplies to other petroleum marketers in the past as a result of their failure to live up to expectation and commitment. "As long as Nospetco continues to perform at all times, Obajana cement will continue to patronise its services", he assured.

On his part, Abubakar Mohammed, industrial sales manager, (North), Nospetco Oil and Gas, said the company cannot afford to toy with the opportunity granted by Obajana Cement.

He further said the company would use its performance at BCC and Obajana to proof to other large volume licensed industrial customers in the North that as far as the industrial supplies of petroleum products is concerned, Nospetco is the company to beat.

Nospetco recently signed a Joint Venture agreement for offshore operations and international trading with Plural Oil Marketing Limited.

Alhaji Siddiq Manga, managing director/chief executive officer, Nospetco Oil and Gas Limited had explained at the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that the JV would afford the partners to benefit from the wealth of experience acquired over the years by Mr. Tunde Oyefolu, managing director of Plural Oil Limited who was a former international sales manager of General Oil in London.

The activities of the partnership is focusing on offshore sales (ship to ship transfer), coastal supplies of refined petroleum products to licensed end users and marketers as well as coastal logistics services.

Mr. Mohammed Hafezu, logistics manager, Nospetco Oil & Gas Limited, said the logistics department will take the Obajana Cement supply as a challenge and make sure that they are not disappointed.
