Belarus plans to introduce 40 European export standards for construction materials in 2007-2008, the director of the Belarusian State Standardization and Certification Institute, Nikolai Kusakin, told a press conference Wednesday.
According to him, the share of certified construction materials in industrial output will increase to 83% in 2010 from 67.5% in 2005.
“Belarusian companies that produce building materials have initiated introduction of 62 European standards on cement, porous aggregate, building lime, glassworks, polymeric pipes and test methods for these materials,” Kusakin said.
