Iran’s Industries and Mines Minister deputy, Mohammad Hussein Basiri announced that cement industry through the production of 32.65Mt had kept 99 per cent of its commitment in 2005.

Basiri went on to say that the factories which had more than 20 years of experience yet again had produced more than 90 per cent of their capacities last year.

"Cement factories are to import 1.5Mt clinker during the coming months and it is predicted that the amount of these imports will be increased," announced Iran’s Industries and Mines Minister deputy while pointing to the removal of cement import tariff.
