Kemerovo-based holding Sibirskiy Tsement intends to start building a new US$150m cement facility in by capacity of 1.2Mta in Krasnoyarsk this year. The company’s president Andrey Muravyev stated that at a press conference in Kemerovo. Mr. Muravyev explained if the sector did not start expanding facilities, in a few years Siberia’s market would feel cement deficit. Earlier the main competitor of the Kemerovo plant in the Siberian Federal District – Novosibirsk group RATM had started on expanding cement making capacity at its Iskitimtsement facilities.
