Egypt’s Orascom plans to build a cement factory in the regency of Purwodadi, Central Java, this year.  The Egyptian conglomerate also planned to invest in infrastructure projects such as in a toll road project in Central Java, Central Java Vice Governor Ali Mufiz said last weekend.   He gave no more details about the planned investment, beyond saying that the factory will be able to meet cement requirements in that province.  He said the company had asked for a license, but no agreement had been signed yet. Orascom declined to comment but is known to be actively looking at proposals to build a new plant in Java in the near term.
