The freight turnover of Estonia`s Kunda port owned by Kunda Nordic Tsement (Kunda Nordic Cement) fell by 15.4 percent to 1.21Mt last year compared with 2004. A total of 454 ships called at the port, 14.7 per cent fewer than the year before. Carriage of the biggest group of freight, round timber, declined by 10.5 percent to 582,754 tons. The amount of wood chips fell by 6.1 per cent to 142,403t and that of cement by 36 per cent to 62,933t.  But the amount of liquid cargo increased by 66.4 per cent to 122,444t last year at the port.
