Projects to implement four cement development plans in Khuzestan Province, Iran have already received required credit facilities and the existing capacity of 8500tpd would be increased by 14,000tpd upon completion of this venture, the head of Khuzestan Mines and Industries Organization, Nurollah Hosseinzadeh, announced on Monday.
“The country’s annual cement production stands at 32Mt right now and the required credit facilities to boost the capacity to 40Mt have been supplied through various sources,” he said, adding that Khuzestan, Karun and Behbahan cement factories’ development plans would soon be on the move and putting together finances on a cement production plan at the Omidiyeh Cement Factory is also underway.
Furthermore, studies on two new plans for daily production of 3000tpd cement at Haftgel and Bagh-e Malek are completed and funding is yet to be realized, Hosseinzadeh elaborated.
