Argentina’s construction sector registered a 22.3 per cent growth in November, compared with the same month of the last year, a new historical record, National Statistic Institute (INDEC) reported.

With this improvement, the Construction Activity Index (ISAC) registers a 13.9 per cent rise in the eleven months through November 2005. Estimates for 2006 are positive as well.

Construction supply sales reported a general rise in November. Brick sales soared 48.1 per cent year-on-year, round iron, 38 per cent; cement sales, 28.6 per cent; and paint, 18.6 per cent.
