Pakistani cement manufacturers have cut prices by 25 to 30 rupees per 50kg bag. Chairman All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association Tariq Sehgal talking with local news media said the new price was set at Rs 270 to 280 per bag. After snowfall in northern areas cement demand was reduced to none while several major government projects were also facing deadlock, which was resulted in cut in prices due to lowest demand. He said expanded capacity plants of the Pioneer Cement and Lucky Cement have also started regular production that has added to cement supplies. Retailers had inflated cement prices in the past but now they have cut prices by 40 to 50 rupees per bag, he added.
