Grenada is looking at the possibility of getting a shipment of cement from Cuba, to help deal with the shortage now being experienced in the country. The announcement was made by Prime Minister Dr. Keith Mitchell during a meeting of the House of Representatives on Friday. Dr. Mitchell says he held discussions on the possibility of getting the cement from Cuban with President Fidel Castro, during the recent Caricom/ Cuba meeting in Barbados. The shortage has come about because the sole supplier of cement to the regional market, Trinidad Cement Ltd. is upgrading its Trinidad plant.
