Last month, Vietnam consumed roughly 2.25Mt of cement, a growth of 12.5 per cent over last year’s corresponding period, said the Vietnam Cement Association. The increase has brought the nation’s total cement consumption for the first 10 months up to 23Mt, the association added. The association also forecasts that Vietnam is likely to sell 28.5-29Mt of cement this year, an increase of 10 per cent over last year.
