The Vietnam Cement Association has reported a strong increase in cement sales through Jan-Oct., a trend expected to continue over the two last months of this year.
Local cement producers sold more than 23.3Mt of cement in the period, equivalent to 78 per cent of the whole year’s target. The trend is predicted to continue in November and December as the dry season facilitates construction. The domestic price of cement has been stable, fetching VND720,000 (US$45) to VND760,000 per ton in the north and VND840,000 to VND940,000 in the south.
