Peru’s overall cement sales in September rose 18.6 per cent to 456,907t from the 385,305t sold in the same month a year before, as the economy continued to expand, the National Association of Cement Producers, or Asocem, said Monday. In the first nine months of the year, cement sales totaled 3,683,074t, a 9.65 per cent increase from the same period a year earlier. Cementos Lima SA led the sales in September, selling 223,511t of cement, which includes 67,356t for export, the association said.
