Chilean cement company Cementos Bío Bío posted a consolidated net profit of COP13.1bn (US$24.1m) for 1H05, a 0.45% increase in relation to same-period last year, the company said. Bío Bío’s revenues increased 31.5 per cent to COP147bn from COP112bn, due to the inclusion of ceramics company CISA’s results, the company said.   Operating profits increased to COP19.5bn from COP18bn, despite a rise in costs due to the higher price of fuels, particularly oil, coal and gas, Cementos Bío Bío said. Cementos Bío Bío, controlled by Chile’s Briones group, took control of CISA in April 2004.
