NEC signs agreement with Barah cement factory - Jordan
A consultancy agreement to implement a diesel-generating station with a 20-megawatt capacity was signed on Saturday between the National Electricity Company (NEC) and Barah cement factory, an affiliate to Yemen Cement Public Corporation. NEC Director General Ahmad Hiyasat, said the company’s engineers will supervise the implementation of the station through studying and evaluating the special project offers, reviewing the designs, attending the manufacturers examinations, and inspecting the required electrical, mechanical and civil works. Hiyasat indicated that the project will take a year and a half to be executed with costs reaching JD200,000. Hiyasat pointed out that NEC is currently offering consultancy services and training programmes through coordination with corporations and international funds.
